Epson Printer not printing after changing ink

Epson Printer not printing after changing ink

Sometimes you may find that the epson printer still doesn’t seem to work properly even after replacing the ink cartridges with new ones.

There are many reasons for printing problems. However, some of the most important reasons are:
1. Incorrect ink cartridge installation
2. Blocked Print Head
3. Paper Jams
4. Incorrect printer settings
5. Installing the cartridges in the switched-off state of the printer

How to fix Epson printer not printing after changing ink?
1. Install ink cartridges in correct ways
Every cartridge has a protective tape instilled in it. Make sure that you have removed the protective tape from the cartridge. Because if there would be any protective tape in the cartridge nozzles, your printer won’t function properly.

2.Clean Printer Heads
Firstly, open the Control Panel on your computer.
Secondly, Click on Hardware and sound option.
Thirdly, click on Devices and Printers section.

Fourthly, right-click on your Epson printer and then choose Printing preferences.

Finally, click on the Head Cleaning option and then wait for fewer minutes until the printer head cleaning.

3. Clear paper jams
If the papers are not placed correctly, the printer will get stuck and stop printing. Turn off your printer and slowly take out the paper from both the rear tray and output tray. Then, you can insert the papers again.

4. Resetting Ink Cartridge Counter
Sometimes, the ink counter of your Epson printer may not recognize the new ink cartridge, or may read it as empty. But many printers have a cartridge reset feature that forces the machine to recognize the cartridge as new. For example, to reset the cartridge in some Epson Stylus models, press and hold the “Cleaning” button or the “Load/Eject” button for three seconds. Then lift the clamp securing the cartridge, but do not remove the cartridge from the printer. At last, shut the clamp and press “Load/Eject” again.

5. Restore Printer Settings to Default
To restore the printer to default settings, follow the below-mentioned steps:
a. Press the button next to the “Power” switch of your Epson printer for 5 seconds. The power LED will start blinking and we only wait for the green blinking light to stop.
b. When the green light stops blinking on the “Power” button, it means that has been fixed. Please take a print to check the color reproduction.
